Way more than just a “behaviourist”…

Heather has been around horses for over 20yrs and is passionate about helping people give their horses the best quality of life they can through developing trusting relationships with their equines based on knowledge and understanding rather than fear and force.

She has been blessed with wonderful gifts and has a soul-to-soul connection with horses allowing her to communicate with them on a very deep level. At all times she is acting for the horse’s best interests – even if that means telling the owner something they don’t want to hear! Progress is made at the horse’s speed and in the way which is most appropriate for him. Sometimes this may conflict with the human’s own agenda which can cause frustration, but remember, Heather is here to help you and your horse communicate in a better way for the rest of your time together – that is not achieved overnight and takes time and effort on everyone’s part – so the more effort the human puts in the better the results can be. Quick fixes never last and only cause resentment and disappointment.

Heather has been lucky enough to learn from wonderful horsemen and healers from all over the world and will strive to continue this learning for the rest of her life.  You can always learn something from every person you meet – even if it’s how NOT to do something! Most of Heather’s skills come from experience and her genuine gifts – you can’t learn either of those things on a short course or from reading books as unfortunately many other “professionals” seem to…… it really is a jungle out there!

When working with horses her philosophy is to ALWAYS try to see things from the equine point of view and then do my best to convey to the owner what I am seeing and feelingso they can understand.

Finally we need to remember the “F” word… FUN! – Isn’t that why you got into horses in the first place?
